N95 masks should never be heated over the stove or in a source of heat, like a microwave, or burned in a flame. It is dangerous to melt any type of plastic and its derivatives. But N95 masks aren't made to guard against or protect extreme temperatures or heat.

Recent studies have shown that polypropylene may alter androgen hormones or trigger harmful reactions. But N95 masks do not pose an issue. They aren't exposed to high temperatures or moved inside the mask.

It is not advised to buy N95 masks without the information required or without suitable markings or from vendors that show approval from health authorities in the country.
